Located at 620 Howard Ave, Altoona, PA 16601, Altoona Behavioral Health | Primary Health Network operates as a medical specialist serving Altoona in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under community health center, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

In Altoona, urgent care centers are busiest on weekends and evenings when doctors' offices are closed, and most post their wait times online. Across Pennsylvania, primary care practices often have a waitlist for new patients, so establishing care before you need it saves time. For a dental emergency outside office hours, an urgent care center can prescribe antibiotics and pain relief but cannot fix the tooth; a hospital emergency room can treat swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. Check the listing for insurance, hours and whether telehealth visits are offered.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 7:45 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Altoona Behavioral Health | Primary Health Network at (814) 942-5000; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. My family used rhis facilitynfor years till they started.making tons of unneccesaey chafes and half their staff left. Im sure this will get some kind of automated resoonse from the owner but trust me. Do not get treated here unless absolutely necessary.

Megan has helped me so much with my medications over the past 2 years. Life’s not perfect but she has helped me remember that we are all human.

Jessica Cherry will belittle and demean you over your medication needs and concerns because according to her "She's a nurse practioner" and you're mentally ill and don't know what's going on. If you're black I'd stay away, she doesn't like you or want to see you. She will do everything short of spitting on you until the message is clear. I've never been treated as less of a human being in my life than by this place and Jessica Cherry

Donna is really great and she takes time to listen to you and she is there when you need to talk to her and I recommend a friend to see her and my friend enjoys going to her. We go in together

I really trust my doctor: Dr. Yampolsky. He always listens and talks things through with me. Sometimes the nurses make me paranoid though. They ask me questions about my job. Like how many hours I work. It makes me feel like they think I'm sponging off of Social Security. The last time I was there the nurse skipped over me on purpose to see the doctor. I know it sounds like I'm being sensitive. But this kind of thing happens every time I come to Clozaril clinic.

Need therapy? Here's an app that you have to pay to use, it should teach you everything. Need meds? You can't take what's helped you for years and years, but here are the meds you said make things worse. Nothing is helping? That's your fault for not being able to afford private providers. Best we can do is offer to commit you. 2 Week Update: I went to another prescriber and my meds were immediately corrected, despite being told it was not possible by PHN for the past year. 🀘🏻 Lesson learned, don't use PHN.

Was here a while ago, doctors don’t care, management sucks, the schedule for patients and groups and food makes no sense what so ever. Nurse Karen or Kara or whatever is horrible, fighting with patients, screaming at elderly people over nothing. If you ever have a mental health emergency this is NOT the place to go. I was back in a month afterwards due to bipolar and I went to Dubois instead, that place is like a luxury hotel compared to this place.

I have been getting treatment here for many yrs on & off. I initially thought that they were great ...my old CNRP was wonderful & took the time to talk to me & figure out the best treatment & medications that worked for me. She left the practice & I got a new Doctor who could care less. She took me off all of my medications & was rude, inconsiderate and would not listen to me. The place is like a revolving door...you go in see your Dr for 5 min n leave. One patient after the next. It's terrible. The counseling is great...Melinda Shea is a wonderful counselor. But the doctors don't work with them or try a care plan in collaboration with the team. I'm looking for a new mental health practice. I would not recommend
